“- I think most of the people really don’t know that I’m 16. It’s something that I don’t usually tell them, not because I don’t want to, just because I don’t think it’s necessary. I usually show my work first and then, if necessary I tell my age, but I have never thought age is important: It’s just a number! Talent and age aren’t bound,” says Ana Larruy, that despite her young age has already managed to get a close professional relationship with some of Barcelona’s best model agencies.
She was 13 the first time she used a camera, when her parents got her one as a present: “- I started taking pictures of everything I liked. I guess I started shooting fashion when I created my fashion blog, at 15. Nowadays I only shoot fashion; I organise the shootings with models, make up artists, stylists and we just shoot what I have in mind and, the most important, we have a good time!”
She says she’s always open to be inspired, and that she could be inspired by almost anything: “- I can be walking through the city and suddenly see the sky and get inspired, which might sound strange, but it happens to me. Art, music and magazines also inspire me a lot. Looking through fashion magazines is the basis to all: you have to have knowledge about the trends of the moment, about models, make-up.. To create you have to know a lot first.”
