Back in September 2010 she left Ben Trovato readers stunned as we presented her portfolio. Today we’re finally publishing Melanie Rodriguez‘ first Ben Trovato story.
“Between Times is dark, darker than I usually do, and I really like it,” Melanie tells us.
Her main inspiration was the star of the story, Icelandic model Brynja Jónbjarnardóttir with Next Paris: “- She is so beautiful, I love her presence and her personality. She was just perfect for this shoot…The place was wonderful too, a lovely flat in paris,” Melanie says before she continues to praise the Paris based model: “- Love her sensibility, her way to move, her eyes, everything about her… she was so inspiring.”
The rest of the team consisted of makeup artist Morgane Goupy and fashion designer Amelie Pretre who designed every single garment in the story.
“I’ve already worked with Amelie 3 times, I really love her work, it’s always beautiful. She’s truly talented. I actually always work with Morgane, the makeup artist, she’s amazing to work with, and did a beautiful job on this story.”
Amelie says her designs consists of a “[..] feminine ambience inspired by the wardrobes of our grandma’s mixed with modern day styles like compression sock soothers. A soft style that is almost modest with faded colors and retro details.”
