Ben Trovato has a habit of introducing great new talent to the world of fashion photography. Based out of Vancouver, Alex MacPherson has never before had his work published, but today is the day he’ll step out in the spotlight. The Education of Amy by Alex MacPherson is a mysterious and seductive story shot exclusively for Ben Trovato, featuring the beautiful models Madison and Tia with Next Canada. Their hair and make up was done by Dan Nguyen. and stylist for the shoot was the wonderful Krista Sung. This is actually the second exclusive BT story Krista has styled now, debuting with the Foxy Saturday story by Alan Chan last month. Wardrobe was provided by Guess, Agent Provocateur, Dolce & Gabbana, Dollhouse, and Carnal Design among others.
Alex says this about the story: “- the story is about an innocent young woman being “taught” the ways of seduction by a more dominant woman. In the end, she discovers that she is the more dominant one.”
He started taking pictures back in 2007 after his mom gave him her old Canon AE-1, and made the move into fashion photography in 2008. His inspiration ranges from art and film to great photography: “- I am inspired by Salvador Dalí for introducing me to the surreal, HR Geiger for his darkness, van Gogh for his colors. Films by Stanley Kubrik, Ridley Scott, Jean-Pierre Jeunet are favorites of mine. I have found inspiration in the works of Mert & Marcus, Peter Lindbergh, Eugenio Recuenco, and Miles Aldridge.”
We are very excited to introduce to you a new star in the fashion photography sky. Enjoy The Education of Amy by Alex MacPherson, for Ben Trovato:
