EcoChic by Liza Pohodnova

I love photography and I can’t imagine what I would do without it,” Liza Pohodnova tells us. The Ukraine based photographer has just shot her first Ben Trovato story, and says it’s a step towards many amazing things to come. “I can’t say I achieved much right now, because after this I know there are a lot of great things yet to come!

She started out shooting when her grandfather bought her a camera at 15, and right away she was obsessed: “I started shooting everything and everybody! When I got older I got interested in fashion and everything about it, so I decided to try shoot models. At first it was just funny and mad simple. We were shooting our own clothes or sometimes thrift stores would help us out so that’s how it all began. Eventually, I started to work with agencies, stylists, makeup artists and etc.

And that brought her to Ben Trovato, with her story EcoChic featuring Hanna, styled by Debbi Tretyakova.

It’s a story inspired by all things organic, and especially all the wonderful patterns dominating the fashion world this summer. “I have tried shooting something like this for a while, but it wasn’t until I met Debbi that I really found someone that shared my vision and would help me realize it!

Debbi says she always tried to look for parallels between the garments and subjects, and the subject of ecology and organic matches her philosophy perfectly. “This, spiced up with a few accents of sharpness makes for a great concept!” she tells us.
