Death Potion by Jun Tan

London based photographer Jun Tan started shooting about three years ago after buying a basic Panasonic digital point and shoot camera. Last year he moved on to more fashion work, and started working with models: “- Yes, and I truly enjoy the whole journey of photography. The mistakes I make, the development and defining of my own style and the creative process.

Still being among the up and coming, Jun has capped a few features here and there, but today he’s making his debut on Ben Trovato with his story Death Potion. The story features the beautiful Samantha Jackson from Model Division, who also provided the wardrobe, and did the hair and make up. “- I do a lot of location shoots, and most of the time I prefer to use the urban concrete texture to blend in my photos. In Death Potion, I still align to my style and at the same time portray Samantha as a natural and bold character,” Jun says, and comments on the title Death Potion: “- I used the coke bottle as the ‘death potion’, and after sipping from the bottle, she transformed into a different personality and identity, a vamp.

He’s generally inspired by the people around him, but also mentions childhood memories, dreams and the beauty of women itself.
