She has worked for clients such as Levi’s and Steve Terry, and today Hannah Hedin makes her debut on Ben Trovato. “The idea was to take some beautiful clothes in to a rough location. Beauty vs. Roughness.” -says Hannah when asked about BIKERS DREAM -a story featuring model Ida G from Synk Casting, styled by Johanna Af Hökhufuvd, hair by Tóta Jóhannesdóttir, and make up done by Andrea Engström. Andrea and Hannah might be better known to some as Lilac, a creative duo with their own studio in Stockholm.
Hannah started shooting professionally less than two years ago, but says photography has always been a part of her: “- Even though it may seem that I’m new to the business, my love of photography has lived within me always. It began as a childhood dream of becoming a model and developed into a yearning to stand behind the camera. Now I have my own studio and company, LILAC - fashion photography concept.” She finds inspiration in the works of photographers like Irving Penn and Camilla Åkrans: “- They are two photographers who I believe have set the bar on innovation and greatness. I am also inspired by the beauty of a woman. Some of my photographs flirt with sensuality and seduction without ever degrading or becoming sexually offensive to women. To me a woman is strong, beautiful and good. My images are a celebration of women, never a defamation of their spirit.”
