Snow-White & Rose-Red by Julia Kiecksee

Julia Kiecksee always knew she was going shoot fashion when she grew up, and started shooting right after school 3 years ago: “- I did a one year traineeship in Berlin as a photographer in an online shop and an internship with a fashion photographer. Now I’m studying communication design in Hamburg and I’m working self-employed as fashion photographer.”

One of her milestones on the steps up the fashion photography latter was to shoot a story for Ben Trovato, and today she’s making her debut with a fashion take of the German fairytale Snow-White and Rose-Red: “- It’s about two sisters and it’s my favorite fable. I always work with a mood board when planning my stories, and I collect pictures from magazines and photographs I saw and print them together. I also had illustrations of Snow-White And Red-Rose for shooting this story.

Lina from Place Models and Shannon from MGM took the roles of Snow-White and Rose-Red, and Julia couldn’t be happier about how they performed: “- Yeah! I really enjoyed working with Lina and Shannon. They were so easy to work with! We had a long shooting day but a lot of fun, too!

Joining Julia’s team were stylist Roma Matthai and hair stylist and makeup artist Josephin Martens. “I worked with Josephin a lot, but it was the first time to work with the others. It was a good team and I think we will work together again in the future. Roma is such a nice person! I think it’s very important that you like the team you work with. The pictures are always better when I like the team! Well, I never really worked with people I didn’t like.
