Photography by David Larson

David Larson got his first camera when he was 20 years old, that’s seven years and countless of beautiful shots ago. The New York City based photographer has since shot for commercial clients such as Yoox, MNG Mango, The Peninsula Hotel, Dom Perignon and Oak NYC.

He tries to shoot personal work at least four times a month, and recently he’s been exploring film. Film also happens to be one of his main sources of inspiration: “- I get a lot of my inspiration from film. Darren Aronofsky, Quentin Tarantino, and Stanley Kubrick all incorporate powerful, seductive women in their films who become very memorable, fully-realized characters. I see a similar relationship between the photographers who have influenced me and their models -Helmut Newton, Albert Watson, Guy Bourdin and Mario Testino.
